According to sources when Sandra Bullock received her award she didn’t know who to thank or what to do, she was all but stammering. She was even second guessing the decision by asking Did I really earn this? However she did give an emotional speech in addition to receiving the award.
She included her friends, family and of course her fans. She received the award for her performance in the Blind Side. She said she didn’t know it held that much prestige but she guessed she was wrong and she was glad. However, she did tell someone to pinch her to make sure she wasn’t dreaming too.
She also thanked moms everywhere because apparently that is what the movie was about and she wanted to stress that in her speech too. It wasn’t a long speech although it did catch the audience’s attention and they didn’t say a word or clap until she was completely finished. Then they clapped. The young star has never won an oscar and this being her first one she really didn’t know how to react, she wasn’t expecting it that’s for sure.
She wore a gown that was so gorgeous it just set her speech off all the more. The beautiful actress deserved every bit of what she got at the oscar awards show. She wanted to be sure she didn’t leave anyone out although you couldn’t tell if she was about to cry or thank someone for their efforts putting her where she was. She even included Meryl Streep in her speech and it was in pure humor as she said she totally looked up to Meryl for guidance and that every actress should use her philosophies. Sandra getting her first oscar was well deserved and it was far over due for her to get one.
