According to sources Ryan Seacrest, who was one of the busiest men in Hollywood is about to get even busier. Some say that he is following in Oprah’s footsteps.
The American Idol host and reality producer personality is reportedly in talks with a talent agency and entertainment empire about launching a joint cable network, according to sources. However, unlike the queen of daytime’s upcoming Oprah Winfrey Network or OWN, Ryan would reportedly operate mainly as an influential partner for the cable network , as opposed to the face of a new channel.
The concept for the proposed venture- which is still in precursory stages- is described as “music, pop culture and lifestyle oriented,” according to the trade, with Ryan Seacrest having some sort of yet to be determined on-screen presence. In essence Ryan Seacrest will definitely be a busy man in Hollywood now as more pressure is placed on him, and yet, he is the type of go getter that companies and studios really want.
And other sources state that due to the partnership with with a concert promoter, the network would essentially benefit by being able to air video footage from the international concert and live venue performances from arenas including other well known concert dealers as well. Sources also report that Ryan’s work on E will continue despite the new venture, he produces E’s reality hit, Keeping up with the Kardashians, as well as executive producers and co anchors on E news too.
