A spokesperson for the Santa Monica, California police dept confirmed that the 26 year old son of actor ryan O’Neal had been arrested on Tuesday. They told sources that Redmond was pulled over for failing to stop at a red left turn arrow. Redmond was pulled over not to far from the police department. A motor officer determined O’Neal was on probation and therefore he had consentto search him and the vehicle he was driving. It was at this time that a substance was found believed to be heroin. Redmond is still in custody at the Santa Monica police department and is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
The source said he wasn’t under the influence when he was arrested. A distr4ict attorney claimed that at the time of his graduation he already had two drug related cases dismissed.
Among the charges dismissed was a case filed after sheriff’s deputies found drugs at Ryan O’Neal ‘s home in 2008 while his son was on probation. Some people are wondering if Ryan O’Neal is going to help his son get the right help and assistance to recover.
