According to sources Portia De Rossia could be heading to the ballroom to compete on Dancing with the stars. On Friday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show former contestant Kelly Osbourne asked Ellen if Portia would ever compete on the ABC reality series. Kelly Osbourne thinks Portia De Rossi should have the first same sex dancing pro as her partner.
Other sources were told that they did it in Israel with the same sex couple. The dancing is so much better when they do two women together. She has been watching it every week and she believes it is fabulous. Ellen Degeneres however is not too thrilled about the idea of Portia De Rossi dancing with another woman. Other statements included that she thinks its weird and not a romantic thing. Its an art form and in dancing it doesn’t matter. We are just so used to seeing a man and a woman dancing together. Ellen Degeneres continued that she is glad they are doing it elsewhere but isn’t sure if society is ready for same sex dancing.
The hit show Dancing with the Stars has had a lot of success over its seasons and the partners have always been a man and a woman, there was no comment on the idea of having same sex dancing partners. The judging panel would probably have something to say about the dancing rules if the idea did take hold and they began having the partners like that.
