It was a good news and bad news problem for Paris Hilton after the heiress was arrested for cocaine possession in Las Vegas over the weekend. The bad news of course was that the police say they found cocaine in Paris Hilton’s purse after pulling her boyfriend over because they were suspicious that marijuana was being smoked inside the car.
However, Hilton claimed that the handbag which had the cocaine inside of it did not belong to her and she argues that the police charging her was wrong. In fact, she feels she might be able to beat the charge because she wasn’t searched at the scene where they were pulled over.
The police discovered the cocaine inside the security offices where she was taken. Because she was taken from the scene where the car was pulled over this could be noted as being an illegal search of a person. She claims that they didn’t follow standard procedures when she was arrested and lawyer will be talking to the D.A about this.
Hilton has said that the purse found belonged to a friend and she had no idea what the contents were. Her boyfriend was also charged with driving under the influence of drugs and or alcohol. Hilton of course was charged with possession of cocaine as stated above. Any other passengers in the vehicle have not been charged with anything as of yet.
Hilton thanked her fans who stood behind her in her latest drug arrest tweeting on Sunday that they were all very kind and she believed she was going to beat the charges completely.
