According to sources Nigel has been talking with Fox about returning as one of the judges. He was a judge for awhile but left the show a couple of years ago. With the new Lythgoe rumors a new name has come to light as a judge and being lured back to the Idol after he left the show two years ago.
Another name that has been rumored is that of the pop singer Justin Timberlake as well. Reportedly Justin is a star whom show creator Simon Fuller would like to bring on board, however most view that possibility as nothing more than a dream on behalf of the show’s co creator. Other reported judges to fill the seat of Simon Cowell who left the show in May, include many different names.
The latter possibility is one to whom former American Idol season six winner would be Jordin Sparks. She after all gives the thumbs up to such a notion. And yet, they are still deliberating on who will actually take the seat of the former judge. Most of them all know this is a family show and also a popular show that has very good television ratings. The important thing to Fox is picking and choosing someone who will stay with the show and not leave so quickly. As far as Lythgoe Fox wouldn’t comment about him and if he is going to be a judge among the others being considered or not.
These could be only rumors however if there is truth behind it some fans believe that Nigel is the right choice due to the fact that he does know a lot about the show already.
