Two brave children got up to accept a lifetime achievement award on behalf of their dad Michael Jackson. Young Prince Jackson spoke for the two saying they were grateful for a lot of people who were watching over them. He also said that over the past few months it hasn’t been easy but they were thankful for their grandparents.
The audience was quiet as he spoke and just like his father Michael he thanked different recording companies, people his dad worked with and especially thanked the fans. He said his dad believed in his fans first and foremost that without them he was nothing. People, this was a twelve year old boy talking in remembrance of his father and also accepting the award. As they accepted the award a group of Michael’s friends and celebrities performed for Michael. It was a touching moment but you could tell on the faces of the celebrities how proud they were of the children. Standing proud and strong for their father.
They also thanked God for watching over them in the times that they really needed him although they didn’t understand a lot the fact remained they knew their father was gone and they would live the rest of their life without him. Some of their cousins were with them. What took everyone’s breath away was when eleven year old Paris stood tall and said Daddy was supposed to be here and daddy was going to perform here because he couldn’t perform last year, thank you daddy. We love you. That was heart wrenching even if you were watching television and not even there. I’m sure this was one award Michael received that would have been the most proud of especially because his children were there and they accepted it for him.
