Mel Gibson hasn’t had it good the past few months and to add insult to injury he wrecked his maserati and it had to be towed from the scene of the accident. According to sources alcohol wasn’t a factor in the incident.
Apparently he was driving alone and driving southbound on Malibu Canyon Road south of the tunnel and for unknown reasons he steered his car to the right and struck the rock hillside. Gibson who is going through a custody battle with his ex girlfriend denied to an officer at the scene that he was talking on his cell phone or even dozed off behind the wheel. The accident is still under investigation.
Sources claim that the road he was driving on is hazardous enough without talking on a cell phone or literally falling asleep at the wheel. Whatever happened his 2008 Maserati paid the price. Authorities do admit the accident could have happened to anyone and Mel Gibson was not injured in the car accident. Gibson was later picked up at the scene by a friend according to the police report. Whatever happened to cause the accident didn’t include any other cars and no one else was involved with the accident. Mel admitted to the police officer that he was unsure when the car left the roadway either.
Mel Gibson has been in the media quite a bit lately and this was all he needed was more publicity however at least the actor was not injured. He starred in movies such as Mad Max and the Lethal Weapon installments, along with other movies for the big screen.
