Once again A Lohan is in the news. It seems the actress Lindsay Lohan’s father was released from jail just to get arrested again! The estranged father of the actress Lindsay Lohan was back in police custody Thursday, just hours after being released from a Rampa jail on domestic violence charges.
The Tampa police responded to a 911 call from Michael Lohan’s on and off girlfriend early Thursday Kate Major told police that Michael Lohan, 51, made a harassing phone call to her just after he was released from jail Wednesday afternoon.
Lohan called again while police were at Kate’s home and she put the call on speaker phone so police could listen. After hearing what Michael Lohan said the police department notified the attorney’s office of a violation of Judge Walter Heinrich’s pre trial release orders that he stay away from Kate Major and an arrest order was issued and authorized.
Police went to where Michael was staying and he seen them coming so he jumped off a third floor balcony in an attempt to escape. Lohan was arrested after a short pursuit on foot. He was taken into police custody and taken to the country jail. There, deputies suspected he may have broken his foot when he jumped off the balcony, so he was taken to the hospital for evaluation. The authorities said he would return to jail when released by doctors. Lohan has a history of arrests in New York over allegations of harassment.
