Larry Wilcox sentenced For Securities Fraud

Larry Wilcox
According to sources the guy who played a California Highway officer in the 1970’s show Chips is scheduled to be sentenced in a Florida federal court on a securities fraud conviction.

The securities and exchange commission says the 63 year old Wilcox was involved in one of several kickback operations run by more than a dozen small company stock promoters. They were caught in an FBI undercover sting operation offering to pay kick backs to pension fund managers or stockbrokers for using clients funds to buy penny stocks. Larry Wilcox pleaded guilty in November to securities fraud conspiracy. The maximum prison sentence is five years, but Larry Wilcox will most likely get less at a hearing Friday in Fort Lauderdale.

What a shame! Everyone who watched the sitcom Chips seen a guy that was honest and played the part of a highway patrol officer showing kids watching to do good and also showing kids what happened when you committed crimes. He co starred with Eric Estrada. The two were crime fighting highway patrols and now Larry Wilcox is showing people first hand and in real life what its like when you aren’t honest or you commit a crime.

The show aired for quite a while and there were many episodes where the two officers showed people what it was like to take care of people and not letting thieves get away with anything. There were other stars on the hour long television show however the two most popular were these two highway patrol officers. It was a really good show with morals and the idea and concept of doing good and doing what is right.
