Its been reported that even one of online video’s biggest stars isn’t immune to copyright claims. Lady Gaga’s you tube account was suspended Thursday. The notice read that the suspension was due to multiple or severe violations of you tubes copyright policy. The google Inc. owned you tube declined to comment. Its you tube policy to remove accounts after three copyright violations, though they can be restored after being corrected. Reports have suggested that the infringing video was a recently uploaded clip of Gaga’s performance on Fuji television. Messages left with Gaga’s publicist and record label weren’t immediately returned Thursday. The account is one of two for Gaga. The removed channel is run by Gaga’s camp, while she also has other accounts as well.
The reasoning for the suspended account for Lady Gaga wasn’t released so no one knows what really happened. In addition, it is uncertain if the account will be corrected and allowed to be back on you tube. She hasn’t publicly said anything nor has her reps. It is unclear how it will go. Although her fans are wondering what happened to make her get her you tube account suspended and if it will be back on. Other individuals are glad the account was suspended due to bad taste in some of her videos.
