Is Kirstie Alley heading back to the small screen? According to sources the former Cheers actress is in final negotiations with ABC to star in a new comedy pilot tentatively titled th Manzanis.
Kirstie who is sixty now is set to star as the show’s very opinionated vife and mother who along with her family relocates to a repressed country club town according to the web site.
Veteran Television writers Marco Pennette are writing the multi camera comedy which is being hailed as a new take on Roseanne, according to sources. A rep for Kirstie was not immediately available for comment on the reported pilot when contacted by sources. Kirstie experienced a renewal in her popularity among television audiences earlier this year when she finished second on Season 12 of DWTS on ABC along side professional ball room dancer.
She is mostly remembered for her playing career on the sitcom Cheers. She also promoted a way to lose weight for an endorsement to a company that helps individuals lose weight. Even at 60 her beauty is something she looks after and does commercials with her. As stated above she is in final negotiations for part of her doing and her career. She is and has been a successful actress over the past two decades.
