Johnny Depp Announces Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Movie

Promoting the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise by appearing in character on Friday’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Johnny Depp has confirmed he’s sailing back to the Pirates of the Caribbean film. Johnny Depp was welcomed onstage at the Anaheim Convention Center and he was welcomed to help the executive announce plans for the fourth part of the Pirates film, on some stranger types. Depp, who dressed and acted like his high-seas character of Capt. Jack Sparrow, said that the new pirate movie is slated for a 2011 summer release. The Disney convention, gave both Cook and Depp a standing ovation and more than 5,000 fans packed the auditorium.

Number-four of the pirate movie will be titled “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.” It is hoped that it will be released in the summer of 2011. Depp, who plays the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, sailed onstage on a pirate ship and he moved around the stage before hugging with the Walt Disney Studios chairman Dick Cook told the audience of 5,000 fans about the next installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. Depp would play Tonto in an upcoming big-screen adaptation The Lone Ranger was also announced by Cook.
