Recently John told people about the break up between himself and Jennifer Aniston. He is adamant about the fact that he has never really gotten over her. And yet, he can’t picture himself as being with an actress or settling down with one for that matter. They began dating according to John in 2008 and then called off the relationship a year later. They got back together after that but it once again didn’t last.
However, John Mayer also claims that he is the one that broke up the relationship with her not the other way around. But he is not sure he can go through life without her either. He explained it was one of the worst times in his life and that feeling just lingers when he knows he should move on. He seems to have a lot of respect and pride for Jennifer Aniston who plays on the sitcom Friends. All John could say was he felt like he was losing the real friend. He has had other relationships and he respects every one; although he respects Jennifer the most. This isn’t where he thought his life was going and he believes in fate and destiny. In essence he believes you make your own destiny and fate is meant to be there when we aren’t smart enough to see our destiny.
Just as Jennifer Aniston was not his destiny but fate that they met and were together for so long. So, where does he go from here? Well, according to the rock star he’s got songs he can really sing now, and new material from what he brings in from his former relationship. He has been in Rolling Stone Magazine and he told them he’s never really gotten over her, but his music definitely won’t suffer now as he can pull lyrics from the way his heart feels. He is happy and moving on, but he’s just not ready to be over Jennifer just yet.
