When the cast of names was revealed for “Dancing with the stars,” on Monday night one name was left off of the list. The name was Ryan O’Neal. Apparently he had an injury that prevented him from joining this season. Ryan O’Neal did do a rehearsal for the show, but found himself unable to go forward due to injury, he told sources.
Ryan had knee replacement surgery a few months ago, and after the first rehearsal he realized he wasn’t 100 percent yet. He hopes to be able to do the show next season. With Ryan O’Neal out, one name made it unexpectedly and that was Carson Kressley.
Carson, who DWTS co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke said was in New York and unable to attend the cast announcement joins Ricki Lake, Laker Ron Artest, and of course the rest of the cast members being shown for DWTS this season. It is going to be a blast for them Ryan assured his sources he will attempt to be in the running next season. In some ways he feels let down but there really isn’t anything that can be done. He felt the pain from his knee surgery during a rehearsal, that wasn’t even the real dancing part at all. At least they found a replacement and the show must go on. It will essentially be another exciting season for the show, and those competing are already gearing up for a win.
