Hugh Hefner was not a happy man when it came to NBC. He was very disappointed over the cancellation of “The Playboy Club” on NBC, the first television casualty of the Fall 2011 season.
Hugh tweeted on Tuesday Night that he was sorry and that it should have been on cable for a more mature and adult audience. Hugh Hefner himself was actually written into the drama, talking at times and having other actors on the show as well.
He could honestly tell sources that the fans of the Playboy Club are really upset at the cancellation, he added. While the show, which starred Amber Heard and Eddie Cibrian, won’t continue, Hugh Hefner said fans of the genre may be able to find its subject matter on the big screen one day.
At the same time, there is a renewed studio interest in a major motion picture of my life and the start of the sex revolution, he tweeted. NBC cancelled the show after only three episodes. One episode actually attracted over 3 million viewers. Hugh Hefner is not giving up he will go for the grand finale by using a film on the big screen. This is an area that Hugh Hefner is looking at ow, with everything ending the way it did with NBC.
