Sources say that the house star Hugh Laurie has been battling with the blues for a long time, now he plans on making an album and releasing it to the public. Warner Music Entertainment said Monday that the British actor Hugh Laurie has signed a deal to record an album of the New Orleans inspired blues.
Laurie is very excited about making the album and has wanted to do this for quite some time. He believes that the album will sell many times over and people will love the music he puts on it.
Despite his note perfect accent on House Laurie is a longstanding member of Britain’s acting establishment, famous for turns in the Blackadder comedies and as Bertie Wooster in Jeeves and Wooster. In 2007, Laurie was made a member of the Order of the British empire. In his role of playing on the television show he plays a doctor that is wound up most of the time.
On house, Laurie’s character often plays the piano and guitar. According to his record company Laurie is self taught in piano and because in a very house like move he has creative differences with his childhood teacher. The album is to be produced by Grammy winner Joe Henry, who has also worked with other clients like Hugh Laurie. Earlier this month Hugh Laurie received his fifth emmy nomination for his performance in the television show House. Fans are curious as to what the album will actually sound like and there are several already planning on purchasing the album.
