Holly Hunter’s Saving Grace Cancelled

It’s only been a few months since the cancellation of the television series Saving Grace was cancelled. There just wasn’t enough time slots and other shows were doing much better in ratings that this show was. Holly Hunter played well but there could only be so many shows on TNT.

According to sources the high production costs are what really brought the show to a halt. Saving Grace started in 2007 so it made up a few episodes before being cancelled. Now, the actress is looking into other options. Another theory was that the Closer and Saving Grace were too close together in one night, not to mention that fans thought that Kyra Sedgwick had a better class of acting. Although these were just rumors and there was never anything brought up further about it. The series has both challenged and entertained viewers in ways few other shows on television even come close to the people who liked the show. It just came down to ratings and production cost, not whether or not people actually like the show.
Since her goodbye to her gun shooting episodes she has been auditioning again for other shows and television series. Her response to all of this is that she is down but by no means out of the show business game.

And yet, she doesn’t see herself as some softy she is just too much of a kick butt gal. That was obvious in the show; however she said she would consider doing voices for animated movies and this is an option she has done more checking into.

I also love saving grace. It had a good mix of action, drama, and comedy while also making you think about the bigger picture. I liked that it had religious tones without making it sugary and fluffy as many other shows do. Im very sad that they chose to cancel it without doing the full season to explain everything as originally planned. I cant stop thinking about the last episode! It was sad, unlike most of the other episodes that take an upturn eventually, and while what happens works for the story line, I still wanted it to swing the other direction, especially with all the other new aspects they thew at you during the show …especially Ham:(

I agree, they should bring it back and finish it right! Many any sites have stated that its not because people didnt watch it, it was simply money. Anyone know of where we can complain that might sway them to reconsider?? Id love to see it brought back like family guy was, lol.

I loved this show from the first episode. It seems that all the good shows, the ones that make a person truly question gets the plug pulled.

I was appalled to see how the show ended, I knew by the path the writers were taking Grace on that the ending was not going to be a happy one. I was so upset that they killed her off, and brought her out in a body bag. It was truly disturbing and so disrespectful to the charachter and the fans.
