ESPN reporter and Dancing with the Stars contestant, Erin Andrews, has been receiving death threats. Now it seems the FBI is on the case.
Three separate emails were sent to “The Dan Patrick Show.” The show is a sports talk show that airs on both the radio and TV.
The emails were sent on March 26th, 29th and 30th. Reports say the emails came from a man who lives in Newport News Virginia. The FBI has identified the man who sent the emails because he took no steps to hide his identity. His name has not been released as of yet.
The emails were extremely threatening. One email states, “Somebody should shoot her in the face.” Another emails states, “I’m one in a million. She’ll never see me coming.”
Erin has received more security on the set of Dancing with the Stars.
Andrews had problems with a man, Michael David Barrett, who secretly taped her through a peephole in her hotel room. He was recently sentenced to federal prison for 30 months.
Reports coming out today show that the emails were not only violent but sexual as well. One email states, “I would love to get close enough to her to show her my suicide vest.”
