According to sources Elton John and David Furnish are the proud new parents of a baby boy. The couple welcomed him on Christmas Day in California. They told sources that they were really happy and proud as can be. The baby boy is healthy and doing really well, and they are overwhelmed.
Zachary was born via a surrogate and he weighed over seven pounds. A rep for the couple and other sources said they are going to protect and respect the privacy of their surrogate and will not discuss any details related to those arrangements. This is the first baby for the 62 year old Elton John and his longtime partner that after twelve years of dating got married in 2005.
The couple had previously attempted to adopt a child in 2009 but that didn’t happen so they took another route in order to get a child. According to sources that adoption agency said that an adoptive parent could not be over the age of 45. They couldn’t be happier now however. They will be a family and according to Elton John Zachary is going to be a very happy and healthy child. Under the circumstances both parents will care for the child. There are those individuals who are a bit skeptical about the circumstances however the bottom line is they have a newborn son now. This is something Elton John and David Furnish have wanted for quite some time now. The surrogate will remain anonymous and they won’t talk about any information concerning her.
