According to sources the rapper DMX is to appear in court and is also denying the violated his probation. He appeared in a Phoenix courtroom Wednesday morning and denied he used cocaine and Oxycotin.
Courts documents allege the 39 year old performer failed to submit to drug testing, and drove on a suspended license. He was arrested last Thursday and was being held without bond in the country jail. The country court commissioner has set DMX’s next court date for December of 2010. DMX’s attorney said he had been working with his client and probation officials, and expected the overall arrest. It wasn’t a surprise to anyone. That this was bound to happen. Some celebrities feel as though they can get away with anything. DMX’s attorney is doing all that he can to assist the rapper however there are points when the rapper won’t accept his help either. The attorney is working with him.
DMX was placed on probation last year after convictions for attempted aggravated assault for throwing a food tray at a jail guard, and then theft for trying to use a fake name to acoid paying a seven thousand hospital bill. As a matter of fact, the saying is true for everyone. If you do the crime you are going to do the time, it shouldn’t matter who you are. Celebrity or not. Everyone should be treated equal in that aspect of the law. No one is above the law, and this is something DMX is going to have to figure out in the long run.
If you have comments about DMX, or this post we would be glad to hear from you.
