According to sources the rapper surrendered and is now serving a ninety day jail sentence for a 2002 reckless driving conviction. A Los Angeles attorney spokesperson said the 39 year old rapper turned himself in at a downtown courthouse. he said a judge ruled that the rapper cannot be freed on electronic monitoring, work release or home detention.
DMX, was originally charged with drunken driving but those charges were later dismissed. He has been repeatedly arrested and jailed in the past decade, recently serving a sentence in an Arizona jail for violating probation by failing a drug test.
Sources also conclude that the rapper was found in violation of his probation in January and was suppose to surrender in March. However, he didn’t appear in court and the judge revoked his one hundred thousand dollar bail. This being revoked meant that the rapper had to surrender and do his time in jail. He did not resist but turned himself in willingly.
The rapper finally came in and was ordered to serve 90 days in jail for missing court appearances and violating his probation so many times on different occasions. The attorney for DMX could not be reached for any type of comment.
