According to sources, Denise Richards has been fairly quiet in the midst of the recent news involving her ex husband and the father of her two daughters. On Sunday the 40 year old actress admitted via twitter that she has found it difficult to keep the headlines from their girls. One girl is six and the other is five. But she has found one ally on the dial.

Denise Richards has been pounded with photographers in California over the weekend as she shopped with a female companion and her two daughters. When a photographer began to ask a question regarding the girls’ father, Denise quickly cut him off, saying please don’t ask anything about that in front of my girls! Richards and Sheen started dating after the actress appeared in spin City in 2001 but they had worked together twice before in 1993’s Loaded Weapon 1. They married in 2002 and had daughter Sam in 2004, but Denise Richards filed for divorce only three years after their marriage while she was pregnant with their second child. And just like Charlie Sheen’s soon to be ex Mueller filed for a restraining order, so has Denise Richards. While Denise Richards appears to be shying away from the spotlight for the sake of her daughters, Mueller took her twin boys out of the picture as well. Denise Richards claims Charlie can be violent if he wants to be.
