Corey Haim died on March 10th of this year. But reports are coming out that Corey got illegal drugs by using different doctors to get them. He also used several aliases and he used different medical excuses. This report was issued by the California Attorney General in a press conference.
The report also says that within a month, ending just five days before he died, Corey obtained 149 tablets of Vicodin, 195 tablets of Valium, 15 tablets of Xanax and 194 tablets of Soma. The Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. called Corey Haim “the poster child of prescription drug abuse.”
Corey visited seven different doctors and seven various pharmacies to obtain the drugs. In addition, Corey visited several Emergency Rooms and Urgent Care facilities.
Witnesses told investigators that Corey was addicted to drugs since he was 15 years old.
The Attorney General report also states, Haim “was preparing to do a media special on how easy it was for him to obtain pain medications.”
Corey’s doctors released a statement stating that he was very convincing in order to get the meds. Corey’s primary doctors said that he was addicted to prescription meds and he has been seeing other doctors telling them he had shoulder pain.
Corey’s toxicology reports still have not been released.
