Conan O’Brian’s Tonight Show Dream Ends

For the past seven months Conan was the host of the tonight show and now that dream has ended. It has been reported that Jay Leno will return in his place. However, the final settlement for O’Brian was a sizable one. The attorneys from both sides of the table discussed settlement and severance packages for Conan and the producer of his show. Although it has been also speculated that part of the payment for the producer and staff will possibly come out of what O’Brian receives in his settlement.

He will record his last show on the 20th of January and then the dream is over. The resolution of the settlements comes after long deliberation from NBC and what is expected of them to compensate Conan O’Brian. He is expecting forty million dollars in settlement although that hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.

There are rumors now that Conan O’Brian was gutless or that he didn’t stand up to the company however according to everything on the Internet and in the news he did exactly what he thought was right, and his attorneys agree as well.

NBC feels as though O’Brian tarnished the show and for the meantime after his demise Jay Leno will take over and try to fix things. Is this possible? Jay was rumored to want his own half hour show on NBC if the fans remember correctly. So what is to become of the time slots and will they actually move the Tonight Show to an even later time slot on NBC? Some people believe they will eventually take the show off the air. The best times for the Tonight show haven’t been forgotten and many celebrities and comedians as well as musicians have appeared on the show. And when the dream is truly over for O’Brian what will the show host do now?
