There will soon be a new reality show for people who are estranged from friends and loved ones. The host is going to be Dr. Drew Pinskey and he is on the look out now for people to cast into his show. His reality show is going to be based on the concept of people who haven’t spoken to friends or loved ones for literally many years. He also wants to get people with sibling rivalry and others who just don’t get along.
I thought we had enough shows like that or are they all on cable now?
I mean Dr. Drew and his reality show aren’t going to be doing anything different than Oprah or Montel is he?
He is asking the television viewers and overall population to send in their names and stories so he can be the one to put their problems on television and try to help work them out. Sounds like another reality show rerun. However, hey power to the guy if he really wants to help people but if its television credits and ratings that he’s looking for and becoming well known, then shame on him.
Dr. Drew wants people that have really big problems in his or her life or family issues that he can help to resolve. Again, sounds like a rerun. There are so many reality shows now its hard for people to keep up with them isn’t it?
In essence, if he’s really going to help people from children to adults then by all means go for it Dr. Drew but if the agenda is self centered then how many viewers will actually watch another reality show on television? If you want to be on his show it probably wouldn’t be that hard, considering he is just starting out. And hopefully he can help and not soak up the television cameras spotlight instead.
