Alec Baldwin says he is thinking about running for mayor of New York, but not until he learns more about the job. The “30 Rock” actor tells sources that he’ll sit out the 2013 race but will consider running in a later election.
In a wide ranging interview, the 53 year old says he talking with two universities about enrolling in a masters program in politics and government. He says he wants to better understand what the fiscal imperatives of the mayor’s job is.
He says running in 2013 it is impossible because he is obligated to complete the current season of “30 Rock.” Baldwin says he plans to establish a permanent city residence before running. He has owned a Manhattan apartment for two decades. Some individuals believe that Alec Baldwin is actually too old to run for mayor. Alec wants the people to know that he is perfectly capable of doing the job right and running as mayor well. He is not going to make changes or cause drastic situations in the city.
As you know he is an actor however there have been other actors who have gone in to politics an actually won the race. They have literally made a mark on the politics and acting realm. From acting on movies and television to making movies and then becoming actors the proof is there and the fact of the matter is they actually win. But why? It I because people think they are good actors in movies or do they truly see the person for who he or she really is and really can do for a community. That is definitely something to think about.
